As a gardener, Macksting often finds herself with a surplus of seeds. While seeds can be obtained at least somewhat cheaply at the general store, Macksting prefers to keep the money in circulation within the town, and will happily trade seeds for seeds at basically no cost. Grain being so common, this has resulted in The Star Office functioning primarily as a grain silo. Nevertheless, it's often worthwhile to check back now and then to see if the paltry coffers of fruit and vegetable seeds have anything worth taking.
