So happy for the forums! Thank you for the balancing for lower power pets, all the needing to buy tons of food to feed for affinities was really turning me off since I couldn't keep up with how little essence I got from releasing the ones I didn't have enough time and money to invest. And yay for room renaming

Eep, I thought the snowballing effect of using a lot of items in rooms was intentional! I wasn't trying to exploit an issue, sorry.
I was wondering when more players would "catch up" so the game could become more functional, in hindsight I should have realized!

Looking forward to a more balanced economy and an easier curve for new players! Thanks for all your hard work, I'm amazed at the amount of care you put into a free game on top of your other projects.

(Silvercat) ouh that does make me a bit worried abt putting a lot of tea sets in my rooms... especially considering they got nerfed so hard, they'll just be taking up space with not much of a benefit...

Really feeling this right now... They're gonna need to be unnerfed quite a bit to make them worthwhile to leave in your room. I'm hardly even getting any extra clicks on >10 tea set rooms some days (only 2 today!) unless I go out of my way to find a creecher that still has like 50 of the things.

Oh, is there any plan to try and balance out the item/dopcoins economy when the site releases in full, given there are a lot of players with thousands upon thousands of items that new players won't be able to catch up to since the avenue to obscene wealth is closed? Maybe some kind of money/item sink event? (Or, I suppose, a wipe...?)

Really? My experience has been that tea sets are in a good place right now. Just now I rolled random pets and kept socializing until I ran out, and it ended up being 10 socializations total. But this is valuable feedback if people think that they're too weak, and I can definitely tune them back up a little. I just don't want people to be getting 20+ interactions a day because that's too much clicking.

I definitely plan to add more resource sinks in the future (possibly in the form of a limited-time event) to balance out the economy. I have a few ideas for what that could look like, but you have suggestions, I'd love to hear in the suggestions thread in the Q&A section!
