Hello!
As more and more items and creechers get added to
the game, you may find yourself having a bit of trouble
figuring out which elements are needed to summon
specific items.

I plan on attempting to fix this via a big ol'
spreadsheet recording a whole bunch of summons and
their results.

Common Threads and Hypotheses

• Certain items that can be summoned anytime seem⠀
⠀ to have their own affinities regardless.
⠀ • An example of this is how Silk Ribbons in the
⠀ ⠀ sheet appear aligned to Air despite being
⠀ ⠀ something one may summon using any element.

• Ancient Gems may be aligned to the absence of⠀
⠀ elements, considering how frequently they
⠀ appeared during Clear weather elementless
⠀ summonings in comparison to everything else.
⠀ • It also is likely aligned to Stone, which
⠀ ⠀ may imply that "elementless" summons have
⠀ ⠀ some sort of default alignment.

Things To Test For

• All combinations of elements + weather under no⠀

• Whether or not weather increases the amount of items⠀

• Whether or not auspicious effects increase the amount⠀

• Whether the empty pet room bonus is based on count,⠀
⠀ percentage, or some intersection of the two.

Contributions And Credits

• Large quantities of inputs seem to cause the⠀
⠀ summons to focus on element-specific items, from
⠀ lower rarities to higher ones in even larger

I absolutely want to encourage speculation on this topic! The summoning mechanics are mathematically complex and I will admit even I don't fully understand them sometimes. In regard to your last bullet point: the auspicious events you mention (they're called "omens" in the code) are conditional on the weather. Any omen can happen on a clear day when no weather condition is present, but although some omens can happen regardless of weather, the other omens can only happen during one weather condition. This is set up in a way where it's impossible for the weather and an omen to boost the same aspect, mostly because the flavor doesn't make sense—if it's already raining, you can't experience a sudden downpour.

The Google drive 10 MB max file size reduces videos to unwatchable quality.
(I don't know much about video compression, I may be missing something obvious)

Is there a way I can submit summoning data that's watchable?

@Hypercube34 what recording software/method are you using? I've had little to no problems with this previously...
It could also be screen resolution if you have a really good monitor? Unsure.

Either way I'll go ahead and increase that file size limit. If you still have the quality versions of the recordings, could you send that over?

I used OBS, then tried to edit it smaller with Clipchamp (which seems to make files bigger instead)

@Hypercube34 If you're using Windows 10, there should be a recording software using the Xbox menu that's built in (windows key + g). This is what I use and most of my smaller videos turn out to be a good enough size for it.
I think it should be in Windows 11 too, but I couldn't tell you for sure since my PC can't install it
