Guide: Pet care: Food

Food is the most important need that pets have, and it is recommended to feed every pet daily. Food makes pets grow faster, and it also makes them more powerful so that they can gain greater affinity to the aspects. Additionally, staying well-fed is a requirement for pets to be able to socialize, and once the exploration system is implemeted, food will be required in order for pets to be able to explore and will also be a primary avenue for increasing their exploration skills.

Growth and power

Each species of pet requires a certain amount of growth to reach maturity. While pets will mature eventually even if they are never fed, this will take many weeks or even months of real time, and so it is recommended to feed pets regularly in order to accelerate their growth. Generally, higher-quality foods give more growth, although this is not always the case.

Food is also one of the main ways that pets can increase their power potential, and many food items are good sources of affinity to certain aspects. Some foods may give trace amounts of affinity to aspects that are not listed in their item descriptions.

Snacks

While pets can only eat one food item per day under normal circumstances, some items are designated as "snack" items and do not count against this limit. However, eating a snack item will not make a pet cease to be hungry. Most snack items are candies that can be obtained during seasonal events.
