do all foods have secondary affinities? like grown = wood & cooked = heart, and i know some of the stuff outside those categories have void (unfood, spooky cookies, devious brews), but what about drawings of apples or suspicious concoctions? do candies give a little bit of affinity unrelated to the main one/s?

What is the noise fill next to the void aspect on my lump here?

I've seen it on a few pets and it's the only aspect colour I haven't figured out.

@Mel That represents "miscellaneous" or "other"—small amounts of multiple aspects that individually take up less than one segment of the aspect meter.

Which omen is this specifically? I'm assuming Heart, but the 18 summons I did with this effect and 5 Essence of Heart have been giving me Condensers and nothing I assumed was specific to Heart...

There are some heart aligned summoned items that don't feel aligned to heart at first, but it's a weird element that encompasses a lot!
(Beady eyes, Hand Statues, Virtuoso Flutes, and Regal Pillows)

So the guide said it's good to incubate the eggs as soon as you get them. Does that mean if an egg isn't incubated for a few days, that it won't hatch if I incubate it now?

@blueamber The game actually has no way of telling how long a given egg has been in your inventory, and you could incubate an egg that you got two years ago before the game was even in alpha and it would hatch just the same. The reason why incubating eggs sooner is recommended is because there's not that many things you can do on the site without having any pets, and as a new player incubating your eggs immediately means that you will get your first pets sooner!

Sorry, got another question: a sort of creecher in the fog said that wintermint is needed, which I took to mean I had a quest, so I got some, but I can't find a way to find the entity again. Do I just wait until the next random event?

I walked into the fog and came out with a suspicious concoction. The description is intriguing so I'm curious what it does mechanically?

@Mel Suspicious Concoction is a mutagen, which is a special kind of food that lets you reroll what outcome a pet grew into.

do thieves bags affect what items you may get interacting with other people's pets?

@wit Now that item drops have been rebalanced, thief bags have a chance of producing a bonus item for the pet's owner, but do not affect the items that the visitor receives.

This thing is very full of metal and has eaten like 3(?) suspicious concoctions but I have not seen it enter the form with the big blue claws that I have seen other people's metal cats have. Am I missing something or is it just very Bad luck on my end?

@Cometcats The metal-aligned blue creecher with the big claws can only grow from the fluffy baby variant. When you use a suspicious concoction, it will first reroll what form the egg would have hatched into, then it will reroll what form that one would have grown into, continuing until it reaches the pet's appropriate level of growth. Since the initial form is random chance (I just checked and it's an 80-20 split), you'd have to get the 1-in-5 roll to choose the fluffy baby as the initial form, but as long as you get that one the adult form should be the one you're looking for.

(Honestly, with how much trouble people are having getting the claw-style blue creecher, I might have to rethink that specific form. I do like the idea of having pets whose growth branches multiple times, but I think that splitting off at the time of hatching is too early, since it doesn't give people a chance to influence the form at all.)
