Guide: Random Events

While visiting any page on Dopcom Creechers, it is possible to encounter a variety of random events. These will appear in a brightly-colored banner along the top of the page, between the navigation header and the page content. Some random events are purely decorative, but many will give an item, provide some small bonus for the rest of the day, or other such things.

There is a limit to how many random events can occur per day. Each time a user encounters a random event that is "functional" (that is, one that has some game-mechanical effect), the chance of all random events will decrease until the end of the day for that user. Once this chance decreases low enough, a message will appear saying that "your luck has run out", and then no more events will occur that day.

Random events can be influenced by certain factors. Many random events can only happen during specific weather conditions, and many more can only happen during specific holidays. The base chance of encountering all random events is higher during holidays.
