Guide: Daily activities
Dopcom Creechers is a fairly slow-paced game, and it's designed so that players do not need to spend very much time on the site every day. Here is a list of things that you might want to check on regularly:
- It is recommended to feed your pets every day. This has several benefits: food will make your pets grow faster and will increase their power potential, and many foods can be good sources of elemental affinity. Additionally, pets will not be able to socialize if they were not fed the previous day (unless some effect is giving them a bonus socialization), and once the exploration mechanic is added, pets will not be able to explore if they have not eaten yet.
- It's not as important to groom pets every day, although it's a good idea to do so regularly. Every grooming item keeps a pet groomed for a set number of days, and once that number of days has run out, the pet will become unkempt and charms equipped to the pet will not function. The main reason to groom pets more often than this is that grooming a pet allows an extra chance to collect a crafting material (such as fur, scales, or feathers) from the pet.
- Every day, a player can socialize with up to 3 pets, although random events and the Tea Set item can increase this limit. It's recommended to socialize as much as possible, since this is the main way to obtain Gleaming Essence, as well as an important source of Prima Materia and various crafting materials. The "Random Pet" button on the site header is guaranteed to find a pet that can be socialized with if one exists.
- On your user page, your room list will show notifications on any rooms that need your attention. Pet rooms gain notifications whenever a pet is socialized with or when a pet grows to a new form, gardens gain notifications whenever crops grow, and item rooms gain notifications whenever another user buys, sells, or trades items in them.
- The Wishing Well in the Town Square allows you to exchange one item every day for another item of the same rarity that was previously given by another player.
- The Curio Shop in the Town Square has a rotating stock of furniture available, so if you're looking to redecorate, stopping in daily to see what's for sale each day is worthwhile.
- There are a few secret pages on the site that are also worth checking daily if you can find them.
At the bottom of your user profile page is a section labeled "Daily Reminders". This section automatically keeps track of things that might be worth looking at, such as whether you have used the Wishing Well yet on any given day, or daily effects caused by random events such as omens that might affect summoning.
